One of the best family friendly events in Chicago for St Patrick's Day is the 2013 St Patrick's Day Parade taking place on Saturday, March 16th in Downtown Chicago.

Saturday March 16th beginning at 12PM.
Where does the Parade begin?
The parade starts at Balbo and Columbus Dr in Downtown Chicago.
The 2013 St Patrick's Day Parade will go north on Columbus Dr until it end at Monroe Dr. This event is a family friendly parade.
The viewing stand will be located in front of Buckingham Fountain.
