Chicago-based funk band The Main Squeeze and Aloe Blacc are headlining Global Citizen Nights, a benefit concert hosted by The Global Poverty Project, an international advocacy and educational organization committed to ending extreme poverty by 2030.
Event Details
Global Citizen Nights - a series of free, ticketed concerts that brings major artists to intimate venues - was created as a way to reward to young, energetic, and socially conscious Global Citizens in their hometowns and encourage global action at the local level. Concertgoers can get their tickets for free by taking "action" to end poverty, which includes anything from signing a petition to watching a video to sending a tweet.

The Main Squeeze is a raging funk experience born in late 2009 from the thriving live music scene of Indiana University who boasts a unique sound and identity, known to create a live experience that audience members routinely describe as unparalleled. Since its birth, the talented quintet has graced the stages of music festivals nationwide, won an international battle of the bands competition in China, was handpicked by Rolling Stone magazine to be the opening act at the official SuperBowl XLVI tailgate party in Indianapolis, released their debut album in 2012, and just completed tracking their sophomore effort with producer and international celebrity Randy Jackson.
The Squeeze is on a mission to give back through music by supporting causes they truly believe in at venues across the nation. They most recently headlined 'Band Together', a benefit concert supporting Rock and Wrap it Up! And Music Never Stops: The Tyler Seaman Foundation, two charities linked by music and the need to help and heal.
Their exceptional ability to tackle and funkify such a wide variety of music makes each show an original experience in its own right.
