Windy City Gridiron: For Chicago Bears Fans has new update
1 day ago Reacts Survey: Do you think the Bears will trade up, trade down, or stay at 9 and pick?
Kamil Krzaczynski-USA TODAY Sports Vote in this week’s Reacts Chicago Bears poll question! Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Chicago Bears fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys. We’ve discussed the Chicago Bears’ options with their second first-round pick from just about every angle imaginable, but now we want you guys to get it on record and predict what you think the Chicago Bears will do with it. Will they stick and pick? Will they trade down? Or is a trade up on the horizon? Staying where they are and taking the best player seems the most likely, but Marvin Harrison Jr. only had two top-30 visits (Bears and Cardinals). If the Bears were going to move up, Harrison seems like the target. Then again, a trade back has been a popular topic from several beat reporters of late. Dropping back a few spots and getting another day two pick, and still getting a blue chip player may be what’s best for business. Vote in this week’s poll, and we’ll share the results in a couple of days. You can also record your prediction in the comment section. Please take our survey Currently, the Bears’ second first-round is at number nine overall, but some recent rumors surrounding the Falcons and free-agent tampering could change that. If the Falcons are punished for having meetings with Kirk Cousins before the early negotiation period, it’s possible they lose their first-round pick, which is number eight, thus Chicago’s selection bumps up one spot.

1 day ago Brugler: Caleb Williams would have been first overall pick last three years
Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports Dane Brugler joined the Bears Banter Podcast to help preview the Bears 2024 draft options. The latest Bears Banter Podcast has dropped! It’s draft week and we are going to get you set with one of the best in the business, The Athletic’s Dane Brugler! Make sure you subscribe to The Athletic to gain access to Brugler’s comprehensive draft guide, The Beast. It’s the best guide in the business, and he has in-depth profiles on every prospect, including UDFAs! Dane discussed several topics on the podcast. We discussed all the scenarios at 9 for the Chicago Bears, if they trade back, some wide receiver options in round two, and we talked about some trench options at 75 and 122, but we, of course, discussed Caleb Williams. I posed a question to Brugler: If Caleb Williams was eligible to come out of the draft prior to this season, would he have been the top pick in the draft in 2022, 2023 and 2024? Here is Brugler’s response: “You think of the last two years, Travon Walker going number one overall, the Jaguars had just drafted Trevor Lawrence so they wouldn’t have drafted him but there’s a good chance we would have seen a trade there. I think that’s fair to say. Last year with Bryce Young and CJ Stroud at the top, as much as we liked those quarterbacks as prospects, so yes, I think it’s fair that you would have Caleb Williams number one in that group. So yeah, I don’t think that’s crazy at all.” It’s a great interview as you would expect. If you want to watch the video segment with Dane, you can see that here: For the full podcast, you can check that out right here: Bears fans, SB Nation has discontinued our WCG Podcast channel, so please subscribe to our new 2nd City Gridiron channel, which features the exact same podcast lineup that used to be on the Windy City Gridiron channel.
