Put some art in your weekend! At our Make A Mosaic class, our experienced instructor walks you through every technique you need to make a functional artwork to take home.
Event Details
We have trays, picture frames, flowerpots, birdhouses, tissue boxes, and vases available as your mosaic "canvas."
ABSOLUTE beginners are welcome, and our studio at the Bridgeport Art Center is BYOB.
In just over 2 hours, you'll learn how to cut tile and mirror into many shapes, adhere it with special glue, and bring it to the next level with bold grout. There are no grades and we encourage wild designs! If you need inspiration, we have many finished examples at our studio. The whole time we'll have music going, and you'll be sipping your favorite adult beverage.
These one-time weekend classes are a great preamble to dinner or drinks in the Bridgeport neighborhood. The Bridgeport Art Center also has a lovely gallery space right outside our door that you can browse before or after the class.
The proceeds from our Make A Mosaic classes go toward our programs that bring mosaic murals directly into Chicago schools and neighborhoods.
