Repertorio Latino nace en 1998 gracias a la iniciativa de un grupo de actores hispanos con el firme compromiso de elevar la calidad y presencia del teatro en español en la ciudad de Chicago. El grupo surge cuando, después trabajar aproximadamente por un año con Latino Experimental Theater Company, bajo la dirección de Miguel López Lemus, varios de los integrantes deciden formar su propio grupo teatral.
