Come attend a zem-zem ceremony at The Earth Center, an authentic African (Dogon) spiritual temple located right here in Chicago.
The zem-zem ceremony is a means to communicate and express gratitude, lament, and commune with one’s Ancestors.
The zem-zem is humanity’s oldest documented ceremony of its kind and originates in Kemet (Ancient Egypt).
It has been preserved in select initiations in Africa, including those in Dogon traditions, and has been released by elders and kingships in Africa for people outside of the continent to benefit from.

This ceremony is free and open to ages 7 and up (children under 7 are welcome but should be kept quiet).
