Orangetheory® Fitness, hailed by The New York Times as “the best one-hour workout in the country,” is celebrating National Women’s Health and Fitness Day on Wednesday, September 27 with special perks for members and newcomers at several Chicago locations. National Women’s Health & Fitness Day focuses on the importance of regular exercise and healthy living, and Orangetheory studio owners, and siblings, Derek and Adryenne Hearne, want to celebrate this day by encouraging everyone to embrace a healthy lifestyle at their studios.

The Frankfort studio, 21012 S. Lagrange Rd, Oak Park studio, 7121 W. North Ave, and South Loop studio, 1005 S. State Street, will all be offering complimentary healthy giveaways and samples from Snap Kitchen, The Fit Foodie Kitchen, Dr. Drew Komboucha and Cryo Spa. The South Loop and Oak Park studios will also have delicious food samples from Eat Purely, while FruVe Press Juicery will be available only at the South Loop location. Health Nutz Natural Foods will be giving away samples at the Frankfort location.

Orangetheory® Fitness is a one-of-a-kind, group personal training workout that uses intervals of cardiovascular and strength training. Their heart-rate-monitored training is designed to maintain a target zone (known as the "orange zone"), no matter what the fitness level of the individual, they will be stimulating metabolism and increasing energy. The workout is half endurance and half strength and power training. Everyone in class wears a state-of-the-art heart rate monitor with their individual heart rates displayed in real-time on large monitors positioned throughout the studio.

Maintaining the target zone makes sure that each person maximizes the efficiency of their workout to boost cardiovascular benefit and burn fat, both during and up to 36 hours after the workout. Each plateau-busting workout is different, thus ensuring not only variety, but an amazing challenge. Each session is instructed by an Orangetheory® Fitness certified personal trainer.
