Launched in 2013, First Monday Jazz is a monthly ode to the deep cultural history of the Arts Block and Washington Park.
With a musical legacy that can be traced to the early 1940s, the Arts Block transforms as an impressive roster of Chicago-based musicians take over the Green Line Performing Arts Center stage. October’s First Monday Jazz featured artist is Donica Lynn.
She will be joined by Kael Mboya on keys and Michael Lockett on percussion.
Hailed a “Show-stopping” voice by the Chicago Sun-Times, Donica Lynn is a powerhouse vocalist.
A Chicago Tribune Person of the Year in Theatre 2016 and one of Dean Richards' of WGN's favorite voices in Chicago.
