Event Details

The 12th Annual New York Television Festival (NYTVF) has announced its official selections for this year’s Independent Pilot Competition and there are seven Midwest-made productions among this year’s picks. The Midwest Independent Film Festival will be presenting all seven pilots on October 4th before they make their official premiere at NYTVF this fall. The showcase will also include premieres of two brand new pilots, one from the legendary improv duo of T.J. Jagodowski and David Pasquesi and one from the Executive Producers of TEACHERS, currently in production on its second season for TV Land. Filmmakers will be in attendance for a post-screening discussion with the audience.

The Midwest Independent Film Festival is the nation's only film festival solely dedicated to the Midwest filmmaker, presenting audiences with regionally produced independent cinema every first Tuesday of the month at Landmark Century Centre Cinema, 2828 North Clark in Chicago. This year-round film festival sits proudly at the center of the independent film scene in Chicago and the Midwest and is dedicated to celebrating and strengthening that community. More information can be found on the Festival website: www.MidwestFilm.com.
