MOLE' comes from the Nahuatl word MULLI, pronounced (Moe-le) and means "sauce". MOLE is a staple in most Mexican households and for this reason, we celebrate it!
Friday, May 24th - Sunday, May 26th, 2019
in the heart of Chicago’s Mexican community, PILSEN.
(Between 18th St. & Ashland and 18th St, & Blue Island)
This 3-day event will include a Mole cook-off where local restaurant chefs will compete for one of two awards:
1. Mole de Mayo’s Best Mole Award (May 25)
2. People’s Choice Award (May 26)
Along with the traditional mole puestos (booths), this outdoor festival features:
- 3 Stages of Live Musical Entertainment
- Lucha Libre (wrestling performances)
- Merchants & Artisans
- & MUCHO MOLE!
Suggested Donation **$5 for Individuals & $10 for Families
