Description

During the months of March and April, Chicago's most romantic restaurant will be celebrating wine made by women and will donate to Deborah's Place

Event Details

As part of their ever evolving worldly wine festivals, Geja’s Café has chosen to celebrate the women of the wine world for their two month-long International Women’s Wine Festival. Their wine menu will be updated to feature an entire page of wines devoted to notable women of enology from around the world. In addition to featuring world-class wines made by women, Geja’s Café will donate $1.00 for every bottle ordered to Deborah’s Place, Chicago’s largest provider of supportive housing exclusively for women.

“Every two months we devote a section of our list to a certain theme, country, region, or even an individual winery,” states Blake Farnsworth, Geja’s Wine Director. “This Spring we wanted to do something different, so we decided to celebrate female winemakers from around the world. We feel this is as appropriate of a time as ever to celebrate the passion of women and the amazing wines they create. What a great way to enjoy fantastic wine combined with a great cause.”

During the months of March and April, Geja’s wine list will feature an extended selection of female-wines from around the world available both by the glass and the bottle at low promotional prices.
