NEWCITY, 1457 N. Halsted, an urban shopping, dining and entertainment destination, is hosting their first annual Holiday Pet Parade 12 – 1 p.m. Thursday, December 21. Chicagoans are encouraged to dress their furry friends in their favorite holiday apparel and participate in a pet parade around NEWCITY. A pop-up event, hosted by The Anti-Cruelty Society, Chicago’s oldest and largest animal welfare organization, will also take place during the event in NEWCITY’s ArcLight building on the first floor. Chicagoans are invited to visit with dogs, and if they wish to adopt one, they can visit The Anti-Cruelty Society at 510 North LaSalle Street.
“We are so excited to host a holiday pet parade and adoption event with The Anti-Cruelty Society this year,” said General Manager of NEWCITY, Erin Webster. “The holiday season is a great time to celebrate family, and for some, that means expanding theirs with a pet! The Anti-Cruelty Society is a wonderful organization and we are proud to support and partner with them.”
Before and after taking part in the holiday pet event, visitors can take advantage of NEWCITY’s various dining and entertainment options, or get a head start on holiday shopping.
