The Candy Dash 5K on Saturday, September 21 is the most mouthwatering and deliciously fun 5K in Chicago and you are invited to race through our candy-filled land with a sweet tasting experience throughout!

Charity: GirlForward is a community of support dedicated to creating and enhancing opportunities for girls who have been displaced by conflict and persecution.
GirlForward supports girls through three core programs:
Their Mentoring Program pairs girls with mentors to engage in "4W" activities (Wellness, Wisdom, Wallet and World) in order to explore their passions and graduate from high school.
Camp GirlForward provides a space for girls to simultaneously build their English skills while exploring their identities and learning about the world around them.
The Safe Spaces Program provides safe spaces for girls to explore their identities, connect with other girls, and access the resources they need.
Parking: Parking will be available for free along the streets, but are first come, first serve. We highly recommend carpooling, Uber, Lyft, using public transportation, or riding your bicycle to the event.
To determine the best route to travel via public transportation, please visit the CTA's trip planner.
Limited street parking may be available. Paid parking is available at the Chicago History Museum lot, (Clark and LaSalle, with the entrance on Stockton Drive ) or in the Lincoln Park Zoo Lot (on Cannon Drive, just south of Fullerton) on a first come, first serve basis.
5K Swag: All 5K participants will recieve a race shirt, medal, bag for candy, and lots of candy!
Kids Run Swag: All Kids Run participants will recieve a race shirt, medal, bib, and lots of candy!
Awards: The top 3 Male & Female Finishers in each age group in the 5K RUN ONLY receive an age group medal. Age groups are as follows: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+.
The awards ceremony will take place at 9:30 a.m. at Lincoln Park.
