Red Fish Bleu Fish (5121 S. Harper, Chicago; 773-952-4744) is Hyde Park’s newest destination for expertly prepared seafood and more. The varied menu features a wide variety of delicious appetizers, salads, creative entrées and traditional deep-fried specialties. Specialty cocktails, a fine wine and beer selection and luscious desserts round out the Red Fish Bleu Fish experience. This month, there are some good times and special promotions going on at this casual, comfortable and stylish restaurant.
Last May, Red Fish Bleu Fish’s sister restaurant, Porkchop, also moved to the same location for a “co-branded” dining experience. Enjoy both menus for the best in seafood, barbecue and Southern comfort favorites.
Catfish lovers get the VIP treatment on National Catfish Day, Tuesday, June 25:
Fried catfish is always tasty, but at Red Fish Bleu Fish on National Catfish Day, the catfish comes alive with Seafood Jalea ($32) a zesty Peruvian seafood medley featuring Catfish, Shrimp and Crawfish. If you prefer your catfish the more traditional way, enjoy the Famous Catfish, a half-pound of fried catfish with delicious house-cut fries, on special for $13.99.

The newly combined Red Fish Bleu Fish and Porkchop, located at 5121 S. Harper in Chicago’s Hyde Park, offers something for everyone with a great selection of fish and seafood, barbecue and southern specialties. Lunch, dinner and weekend brunch are served in this casual and lively restaurant with a friendly staff, delicious comfort food and full bar. The kitchen is open late and there are happy hour specials weekdays from 4 to 6 p.m.
Lunch is served from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on weekdays. Dinner is served from 5 p.m. to midnight on weekdays and 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. Brunch is served from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
