June 17 is Father’s Day and Prairie Grass Cafe is offering guests their annual Father’s Day Brunch buffet—a memorable and delicious way to show Dads how much they are loved and appreciated.

June 17 is Father’s Day and Prairie Grass Cafe’s (601 Skokie Blvd, Northbrook, IL 60062; 847-205-4433) co-chef/owners Sarah Stegner and George Bumbaris are offering guests their annual Father’s Day Brunch buffet—a memorable and delicious way to show Dads how much they are loved and appreciated.
The Father’s Day Brunch Buffet will be served buffet style from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Sunday, June 17. The price is $51.00 for adults and $18 for children 10 and under. View the full Father’s Day Brunch menu online. Reservations are strongly recommended.
The stars of the brunch—besides Dad—include Shepherd’s Pie served with Sautéed Peppers, Onions and Tomatoes; Grilled Wild Salmon topped with a Basil Remoulade and Balsamic Reduction; Shrimp Cakes served with a Spicy and Sweet Tomato Chutney; Oven Roasted Potatoes; BBQ Black Beans and Baked Mighty Vine Tomatoes with a Parsley-Shallot-Bread Crumb-Parmesan Topping.
While Dad is always the number one grill master, let him feel indulged as someone else serves him sliced-to-order Prime New York Strip Steak. Made to order stations also include a Fresh Hot Waffle Station with Maple Syrup and an Omelet Station with a variety of fixings including peppers, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, cheddar cheese, ham and spinach.
There’s something for everyone’s taste, including an array of Prairie Grass Cafe’s mouthwatering salads: Pulled Harrison Poultry Chicken Salad with Grapes, Celery, Toasted Pecans, Rhubarb and Yogurt Dressing; Mixed Green Salad with Herb Shallot Vinaigrette; Grilled Vegetable Platter with Marinated Olives, Creamy Feta Spread and Crumbled Feta; and Wild Rice Salad with Marinated Beets, Onions, Oranges and Roasted and Candied Fennel.
Sweet and savory sides include an assortment of Mini Breakfast Pastries such as Mini Chocolate Croissants, fresh fruit, Applewood Smoked Bacon, and Homemade Breakfast Sausage prepared by Prairie Grass Cafe’s co-chef/owner George Bumbaris.
Finish off with a stop—or two—at the dessert buffet. While listening to Dad’s most memorable stories, indulge in Yogurt and Rhubarb Parfaits, Chocolate Cupcakes, Sticky Toffee Date Cake, Warm Berry Crumble and Flourless Chocolate Cake. There will also be a Crêpe Station with topping
