FALL TAIKO CLASSES 2019

Registration for Fall 2019 Taiko I and Taiko II is now open!
Please note that Taiko I is a 4 week class (Fridays) for $140 and Taiko II is a 5 week class (Thursdays) for $150. There is also a discounted bundle option for those who want to take both classes at once for $250. See information about each class and all three tickets options below (including a student discount option).
Taiko Foundation I consists of 4 (four) Friday evening sessions starting on November 8th, 2019. Students should be able to attend at least 3 of the 4 sessions).
In this 4 week class we will cover basic technique, including how to hit and stand at the drum, musical listening techniques, and simple taiko songs and games. No musical experience necessary! This class is a perfect introduction to taiko.
Sessions will be held on November 8th, November 15th, November 22nd, and December 6th from 7:00- 9:00 pm.
Taiko Foundation II consists of 5 (five) Thursday evening sessions starting on November 7, 2019. Students should be able to attend at least 4 of the 5 sessions.
It is recommended that you've taken a Beginner's class with us prior to signing up for this course. We will work on our upright stance and hitting techniques, incorporate movement in taiko, and explore unique time signatures. There will be an opportunity to have a mini-recital for friends and family during the 2nd half of our final class (week 5).
Sessions will be held on November 7th, November 14th, November 21st, December 5th, and December 12th from 7:00- 9:00 pm
Please note that our max registration is 15 participants for each class and we are unable to allow payment for individual sessions.
