Join us to help support Joe Segal and the music he's worked so hard to cultivate in Chicago!
Event Details
Joe Segal, founder of the Jazz Showcase, co-founder of the Jazz Institute of Chicago, and NEA Jazz Master, has been bringing jazz to Chicago for the last 70+ years. At 93 years old he is in need of around the clock medical care and we are raising funds to help ease the financial burden that this puts on him and his family.
Join us for a benefit fundraiser concert at the Studebaker Theater on November 18th at 7:00pm to not only support Joe, but to celebrate the music he has worked so hard to promote and foster.
Contributing artists include Joey DeFrancesco, Henry Johnson, George Fludas, Dee Alexander, Ari Brown, Pat Mallinger, Juli Woods, Bob Lark and his Alumni Big Band, Greg Fishman, Luciano Antonio, and Barry Winograd.
Also, many thanks to the Studebaker Theater for graciously providing their venue.
