Description

South Side Community Services Organization is Giving Away Christmas Trees to Local Area Families for the Holidays

Event Details

Centers for New Horizons is kicking off the holiday season by making sure the communities they serve are filled with the joyful spirit by giving away 100 Christmas trees to families and providing an opportunity for children to meet and take photos with Santa Claus. The organization will also giveaway warm clothes on their Safe Passage routes.

As an organization that provides services to communities throughout the Chicagoland area, the Centers for New Horizons noticed that many families were not offered the simple resources to partake in the holiday festivities. To make sure they do their part in spreading joy, the day of the tree giving and photos with Santa is their way of giving this season. While resources have provided them the chance to give away 100 trees this year, the organization is hopeful they can increase that number in the coming years.

NOTES: Photos with Santa are $10, and Christmas trees are given away on a first come first serve basis. Families must provide their own materials to transport the tree (i.e., tree rope, cables, vehicle, manpower, etc.) Community members who wish to donate to sponsor a child (or more) Christmas photo can do so by calling, (773) 373-5700
