Penumbra Wine Bar in Chicago's Logan Square introduces a unique twist of Latin inspired steak and seafood dishes with an aspect of wine incorporated into food and cocktail recipes. Food and wine pairing is available with each dish. The name Penumbra is inspired by the owners experience living the first part of her life in Ecuador. Having no electricity, candles were used for light thus creating a space of partial illumination = PENUMBRA. The romantic and penumbra lit atmosphere is accompanied with a diverse wine list, local craft beer and unique handcrafted artisanal cocktails that introduce an aspect of wine in each drink. Coming soon, Saturdays will introduce a variety of live music including jazz, lounge, bossa nova, samba, and more. Walls are decorated with an interchanging art gallery from Chicago's local artists. Local is the theme of this unique establishment.
