About Magnificent Mile
A portion of Michigan Avenue, north of the Chicago River, is known as the Magnificent Mile and referred to by locals as the Mag Mile. The Magnificent Mile in Downtown Chicago is a major shopping, entertainment & business district. You will find a mixture of upscale department stores, restaurants, hotels & activities. The mile long stretch is also home to many Chicago businesses such as the Chicago Tribune newspaper. Magnificent Mile is a tourist destination & shopping district. There is plenty to see and do in Magnificent Mile and the nearby Downtown Chicago Loop.
