Glessner House, completed in 1887, is considered the urban residential masterpiece of architect H. H. Richardson. It influenced generations of architects that followed, including Louis Sullivan and Frank Lloyd Wright. Saved from demolition in 1966, the house has been extensively restored and retains most of its original furnishings, many representing the English and American Arts & Crafts movements.
