The Illinois Centennial Memorial Column, also known as the Logan Square Monument, is the proud centerpiece of Chicago's Logan Square community. Built in 1918 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Illinois' statehood, the Monument has become a community gathering space for socializing, recreation and quiet contemplation.
