Established circa late 1940’s-early 1950’s. Under numerous ownerships. 36 Brunswick lanes. Deli shop, game room and bowling accessory pro shop. Block became Skyway Bowl in the 1960’s and is currently the last bowling establishment in business on Chicago’s Far Southeast Side. Skyway was also known for holding regional bowling tournaments such as the annual Chicago Sun-Times Beat The Champions and Chicagoland Bowling Classic. Earned a Top 10 ranking of Chicago’s best bowling centers back in the 1980’s & 1990’s.
