Description

Since its doors opened in 1988, Gianni Delisi’s family-run Italian trattoria has flourished as a mainstay on the Chicago restaurant scene. Trattoria Gianni’s menu features a diverse selection of regional Italian dishes, augmented with superb daily specials and a delicious dessert menu. Gianni’s boasts an extensive wine list, a full bar and a great selection of grappas. The restaurant has been awarded 3 stars from the Chicago Tribune, 3 1/2 stars from the Chicago Sun Times and has consistently received excellent ratings from Zagats. Located in the heart of the Lincoln Park theater district — directly across the street from Steppenwolf theater and around the corner from Royal George — Trattoria Gianni’s has long been a destination of theatergoers before and after the shows. For those interested in the Chicago Blues scene, Trattoria Gianni’s is an easy walk from Kingston Mines and Blues Chicago. Given its proximity to the theaters, a visit to Gianni’s may include rubbing elbows with the stars, as some of Gianni’s regulars include John Malkovich, Nicole Kidman, Gary Senise, John Cusak and Mayor Daley. The exposed brick walls, white tablecloths, wood trim and floors provide a rustic yet elegant atmosphere in which to enjoy Gianni’s fabulous Italian cuisine. The restaurant itself offers a private dining room for up to 50 guests, and al fresco dining (weather permitting). Trattoria Gianni’s can accommodate private parties of up to 100 by reserving the entire restaurant. If you wou
