Proceeds of the day's ticket sales will be donated to Chicago organizations whose mission is to support LGBTQ communities:
Brave Space Alliance, Affinity Community Services, Chicago Black Gay Men's Caucus, ALMA Chicago, Youth Empowerment Performance Project (YEPP), The Legacy Project, Equality Illinois.

Chicago Reader is PROUD to celebrate our city's rich and diverse fifty years of LGBTQ+ community legacy at an all-day, all-ages block party at Marz Community Brewing presented by Nue Vodka and in partnership with Marz. Featuring a diverse array of artists, communities, and small businesses, the block party aims to be an intergenerational, cross-community effort to honor the people doing the work in our city to amplify LGBTQ+ people and stories, as well as pay homage to Chicago's LGBTQ+ history and the icons who made it.

This inaugural daytime intentional turn up features a diverse array of programming that highlights music and culture threaded through LGBTQ+ generations:

1PM - Drag Queen Story Hour with Coco Sho-Nell & Vivien Dujour

2PM - Theater of the future with Youth Empowerment Performance Project & Free Street Theater

3PM - Sandra Antongiorgi LIVE (Caribbean, Rumba, Jazz, Soul, Rock and Neo-Soul)

4PM - B.Blyss! presents: Salsa dance lesson with Alex Agudo & DJ Sandra Suave

5PM - Old Town School presents: House dance music lesson with Boogie McClarin & DJ Duane Powell

6PM - History of Chicago Drag with Lucy Stoole & friends: Monique Moyet, Angelica Grace, Jojo Baby & Tenderoni (60 years of drag experience in total!)

7PM - Young Chicago Authors presents: Queer emcee showcase w./ DJ Cash Era, E'mon Lauren, Henri Mayhem, Roy Kinsey, Kiara Lanier, Gem Tree & Tweak G

8PM - Slo 'Mo Party presents: Janet Jackson LIVE tribute by FEMME/SLASH with special guests: Daryn Alexus, Avery R. Young, Adam Ness, Gem Tree & more
