El Tapeo, located at 2100 Spring Road, is excited to introduce a new spring menu for 2016 that accentuates fresh, local ingredients as the exquisite flavors are at their prime in the Midwest. As the premier Tapas restaurant in the Western Suburbs, El Tapeo offers handcrafted, authentic Spanish cuisine from the award-winning Executive Chef Michael McDonald. With his innovative, comprehensive, and seasonal culinary style, Chef McDonald presents a divine spring selection to share small plates and main courses among family and friends.
The bold, savory menu at El Tapeo features seasonal updates, traditional favorites, and countless options that all guests are sure to enjoy. The spring spread includes delicious dishes such as: Atún Foie Gras made with manzanilla sherry ahi tuna, trumpet royal mushrooms, arugula, black olives, lemon, and olive oil; Tortilla Española prepared from crisp bacon, spring peas, local goat cheese, caramelized onion omelet, romesco, and crème fraîche; Dátiles made of fried medjool dates stuffed with marcona almonds and wrapped in cherry wood bacon; and Croquetas de Gambas fixed with sautéed shrimp, garlic, chardonnay vinegar, and citrus aïoli.
In addition to this new spring menu, El Tapeo offers Dine on Nine Happy Hour and Late Night specials available at the lounge and bar from Monday through Thursday. Happy Hour takes place from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM when signature Tapas – Aceitunas, Croquetas de Tocineta, Croquetas de Setas, and Pimientos – are only $5 each. On Mondays and Thursdays guests receive ½ off wines by the glass, on Tuesdays ½ off draft beer and bottles, and on Wednesdays ½ off all signature cocktails. The Late Night specials include signature Tapas plus a glass of El Tapeo’s signature Sangria for just $9 from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM. All guests enjoy complimentary valet.
